still gotta get the thred out somehow....
also i came up with a brainwave, we all know i hate my "caravan" lights on the front so i did this.....
ripped them off & they fit just right behind where they are meant to be as a temp fix till i can find the correct stuff & get it ready for paint :)
just 3 holes to fill
just 3 holes to fill
see what i did? the old box is behind with side light (needed for legal reasons) is still visible

Ha no, (I'd post a pic but I'm not going to able to get to my comp for a few days). where the holes are now on my front flares used to be these ugly big box's, one side signal light the other side light. (check previous pics of my jeep u will see them bleugh!!!) I call them caravan as that's what they look like they came off of.
Over here for our MOT we have to have side lights a dimmer smaller bulb along with the head light. I don't know why because most people just put them both on at the same time!?!
Are you saying the amber square in the front of yours is the running light? Is it not used as a signal light too?

Well always on "daytime running lights" are not required. Headlight = headlight, yellow light is turn signal.

But if you need to have a light on all the time, why not try to do that with the round "fog" lights?

The noise seems to be metal on metal and comming from the rear quarter I think? It drives the same tho so I have no idea. See what happens on the way to work 2moro. All this stopping me paint it grrr!!!

Yet another set back :(. The exhaust I can put up with (for now) but I heard a new knocking cralled under and one of my rear shocks seems to be in the horizontal position!! ie sheard off at the top! I'll get pics in day light but grrr!!!
Is this an expensive fix anyone? I take it I will have to replace both... ?

Most repair expenses are from labor to get it done. If you can get it done yourself then it's just parts and time and as you know the problem there is no diagnostics required :)

Haynes manual....well worth the money!!
