Re: In the making
Started to put the one fog light on today. I sat the battery for the drill motor on the charger and then i started the wiring process. I put the relay for the fog lights by the battery on the battery box support and put a lighted toggle switch next to the existing fog light switch for the front fog lights. I used 16 gauge wire for all of that and then used 12 gauge wire to run the length of frame underneath. It took me a couple of hours but when i got to the drilling of the mount on top of the brake light housing the drill motor had no balls. AWWW!! What a piece!
Tomorrow...

Re: In the making
Doesnt look like i will work on the jeep today but i did send a email to 8bitdecals. I still have not received my hood decal that i ordered. It has been 12 business days and i am starting to worry. I sent a email last week as well and now i am starting to fell like a pest; but how long does it take to ship to Oklahoma from Pennsylvania? Everyday i think it will show up but it still hasnt made it. I wonder if it got sent at all? Maybe it didnt get sent when he told me it did. If that was the case it might be here this week, but there i go thinking it might be here tomorrow. I hope he or she gets back to me but they have had all day.
I still havent gave a good or bad rating for 8bitdecals on ebay, but it might be the post office's fault and not theirs. I guess things do get lost from time to time but i have never had anything.

Re: In the making
If it helps I sent them an email 2 days ago and haven't heard back from them as well. When I messaged them before they were quick to respond, perhaps something personal is happening.

Re: In the making
hmm..very interesting... I did talk to them several times last month getting the extra hood decal ordered with prompt reply. I always got a response late in the evening, so maybe i will get one soon. Strange that you haven't had a response in two days.

Same here! Always late in the evening. They are going to check with the post in the morning, but if he has the same luck as me he isnt going to find out much. If i do not receive my decal by weeks end they are going to send another.

Re: In the making
I got the hood decal today. That took way longer than i thought. Just shows me how much faster the post runs for a few extra dollars. The 20" hood decal looks way better. Just that little size change larger makes it look two times better. Makes me wonder if even larger would look better. I am not ordering another one but for anyone ordering in the future get at least a 20" hood decal. It is really close to the size in the movie. It is a no brain'er when comparing the two, that the 20" looks right.

Re: In the making
I got the fog lights in the back working today. The us parts outlet on ebay sent the second KC light with quickness. I recommend buying from them, its the cheapest way.

Re: In the making
Im back up and going on the jeep build. I talked to the paint guy the other day and he tells me that he can get me in within the next two weeks. I have decided that it is time to put the decals on and get it completed minus the paint. It took several hours today to get the hood decal and one door decal in position. I dont know how many times i analyzed the movie. Every time a door was in a shot i had to take every measurement over and over. I started to get tired but i had to have them perfect. What i kept thinking about was how quickly they movie creators put the decals on without making any jeep the same. Here i am taking forever trying to match the exact spot they put one decal.

Cool!
Don't try so hard to get everything perfect or you'll end up with an ulcer or something
This should be fun
