Re: weapon lxxxi's jeep 12
Ha haa here are the pics that have been missing
. I still can't believe it's on my drive, smile each time I turn in & also worry if I leave her. But I have a plan for that stay tuned.....
While at the car show on fir I got approached by a guy who runs a local car show for 3-4000 cars in aid of a child's charity asking if mine could come to the next one, you can't say no to that. So here are some last build pics & then from now on it'll be nice shiny JP ones.
It's 90% done.....
Finish painting half doors
12 missing from hood
Lights to be finished & mounted
Winch mounted
New carpet ordered
Seats to reupholster
(Temp grip tape side steps) looking at 3D printing some.... Over here we used to have tax discs, they used to tell the law that we payed for something every year so we could have the cars on the road, they have now gone digital so we don't need to display them. But car restoration is obviously popular & some clever company have come up with making personalised discs. You can change it all to suit your vehicle. I went for the style that was around in the 90's and added JP related stuff only we would know.....
So the serial number at the top is what the UK box office release amount was in the first week then gb(Great Britton) then release date. Then the wavey bit says "life finds a way" instead of DVLA. the big date July 1993. Ingen staff vehicle to replace what it is (commercial/domestic). Jeep obviously 4.0ltr (I know it's meant to be 39000 something tho...
12mnts tax at £200. Isla Nuba post office stamp (where you had to buy tax from in the past) & lastly SAMs line... "Hold on to your butts"

WOW, top banana there buddy.
The tax disc (being from the UK) I just absolutely LOVE!!!
I'd be too paranoid to have it parked outside if I still lived in the UK but as long as you're in a good area you'll be fine.
Congratulations!!!

Thanks tony, I thought you'd like that.... I did try making one on Photoshop but was taking ages and didn't look right, so in my search for an original I found that site.
Trust me I'm in a good area but still very paranoid, gopro is set up as CCTV so all good.
& thanks to all that helped

This is great! I might be getting a jeep with the full doors and I was worried it wouldn't look that good. You proved to me that it still looks amazing!

Re: weapon lxxxi's jeep 12
Thanks topgear, as our winters are long I stuck with these doors & ditched my hard top too (because of space). I've been lucky in finding some half doors for the summer too so I have both options now wooo!
