i cant remember if my wife and i paid 6 or 6500 for ours. My point is that in a year when you are having all the fun you wont be able to remember or care what you paid. You just need to take the pinstriping off and add red stripes which will save you lots in paint money.

I paid 5200, but it needed a TON of work to make it nice.

I'm glad to see you got a jeep, but sad to see you gave that guy business. I had a really bad experience with him when going to look at that same jeep.
Hope you talked him down on the price a lot, I also hope he fixed the lid on the center console.

Oh my, the center console lid has problems on many jeeps. I had to use wood, nut plates, and jb weld to rebuilt mine. No big worries there.

Really? That's crazy. Are you talking about the dealership where it was at? I ended up going private sale with the owner instead and he was great. I contacted him from over here in Japan and he took the time to meet my parents and show it to them. Even towed it to his work to make the trip even less for my parents since they were coming from about 2 hrs away.

The dealer wanted some crazy amount of almost $9000 for it. Since I went directly to the owner, I ended up getting it for $5800. I'm glad I did. It's worth more in my opinion. It's in great shape mechanically. The center console is broken as it doesn't lock but like ratrace said, that's common. I'll replace it eventually.

So you're from Tampa?

I'm from lakeland. Glad to see you got it for a good price, it was a nice looking jeep from the short time I had to look at it. As of right now I'm still looking for one.

Do you prefer auto or 5 speed? I have seen a few others on Craigslist. I will keep my eyes open and let you know if I come across any more good ones.

Light bar came in! Only a few more items to go to have all the essentials before painting begins. :)

Thanks. I was happy too. Just need winch, fogs and amber lamps and I sourced all the components. Can't wait!
