I am PLastidipping my red stripes. I bought a can of tan just to see it's color... I have not tested it yet.... I might test a patch tonight....

Plastidip application takes some getting used to, but if you screw it up, it does just peel off real easy while it is fresh.... It certainly has its advantages, but it isn't paint.

Ok, so, I'm getting better at having the plastidip come out smooth.

Here is the camo Tan painted onto Champagne. Plastidip is somewhat transparent, so it's color will be affected by whatever is underneath it. But the thicker your coat, the less it is affected.

And honestly from this one small test, it is pretty darn close to the right color. In the dim garage it looks almost the same color as champagne, but the flash brings out the color difference.

No idea, ask the folks at dipyourcar, they will know. The forums there are a good source of info. I am using cans, as I didn't want to buy a sprayer.

Get a local vinyl shop to make your side numbers match your paint color, those 8bit ones are way to gray.

Ohh in that case, yes just mask them off, I didn't realize you were repainting the champagne.

Yea, I still have a soft top coming (OE Version) the whip atn, and paint. I am not really sure if I want to do a light bar or do an actual expedition rack. I feel that would look kinda cool. I know it will not be "Movie" correct. However, it is my daily driver so I am trying to add a little functionality as well. Hence the bike rack painted to match.
