I cant help myself, I have to tear off that horrid looking bra tonight, its just adding insult to injury. I think I will keep it for once I get the jeep painted though. In the winter they put down gravel instead of salt up here, nice for not rusting the hell out of the car, not so nice for windshield and paint jobs.

wow, you lucked out getting those tan pouches on those doors, green usually came with the spice interior.
That's quite a ambitious goal to get it done by April 5th, but it can be done. Are you repainting it?
I would get it into paint this week, and search for a light bar that someone will be kind enough to ship if you're not making your own.
you might want to consider going to a junkyard and buying a doner jeep cause you need a lot of stock suspension parts, and gray dash parts. and the Sahara was essentially the same in those two areas as the stripped version.

Good luck

I am actually going to be working on the floor mainly this week. There are a few stress cracks in the front pans, but nothing that I would consider replacing the fan for. Going to weld them, cover them with some sheet metal to reinforce and then weld the sheet metal. Yes, I am going to have to repaint it, its starting to peel in a few places and the trim is all going to need replaced. As for the Lightbar, there is one one Quadratec that will work, it goes up bows out a bit, and then goes up again. Not accurate I know, but fabrication shops up here are ridiculous. There are only a few and they all know what the other charges so literally a lightbar would cost almost $1,000 for them to make. Complete rip off if you ask me. As for the donor Jeep, There are only 2 wranglers up here to take parts from and they are at a local salvage yard. All the other ones only have jeep cherokees and such. I just bought the rims the other day for about $300, so i saved myself almost $600. I found a set on ebay that was brand new for $600, but shipping was almost $300. Im glad I visited the salvage yard. The suspension SHOULDNT be to much of an issue. The only thing that should need replacing are the shocks and the Shackles. The lift was created by the dude taking the factory leaf springs from the bottom of the axle and putting them ontop of the axle. Welp, heading down to the garage to wage War on some rusty bolts!

As for the Dash, if I do the grey I am going to do what Jack_fauth did, gonna get a stock grey wheel and get the color matched and then spray the dash parts. Its to damn cold up here to fiddle around in a junk yard getting a dash haha. its -44 today, perfect day to stay inside and work on the jeep

ok, the spring over lift can be easily reversed. especially since you have welding skills.

What brand of bit are you using on the bolts? the cheap ones can strip a head out easier than a snap-on or mac.

I have been using PB Blaster and a torch, but it was only working on a few of them. Had to resport to drilling and using bolt extractors...even then they proved to tough for me to defeat...the only ones that I havent been able to conquer are the roll bar ones, but i can only get at one side since the other side is directly behind the frame :( I think I am just going to say screw(no pun intended) the roll bar ones since the bar is going to be getting painted the same as the rest of the jeep and the carpet will cover up the stripped heads...just a bumber f I ever want to take the roll bar off for the day. Pictures from today are to follow.
