As you may recall I had to re-stitch the drivers seat and cover it because it was in such bad shape.

Luckily the rear bench was not ripped, the stitching had just failed and was all over the place....so I took the afternoon to pull it out and make it purdy again

Obviously the color is not 100% but its the closest I had on hand.
With most industrial sewing jobs, if you pull a lose thread it all comes unraveled (lose buttons especially).

This baby is double stitched and solid as a rock
Now....I just forgot which bolts went where to put it back in....DOH!

you took off the bolts? the rear seat should come off with 2 simple pins.

The front of the bench has hardware for 2 sets of 2 bolts, but I only recall removing 1 on each side....yet I've got 2 bolts left they don't fit.
Very weird.

I'll just run out and grab a new set of 4 and bolt it down correctly.

nice! I have been thinking about taking my driver seat somewhere to have the stitching redone. The material is still ok but the opening seems to be getting larger. Good fix on your seat.

If the material itself is fine and its just the stitching.....it's VERY easy, just takes a little time.
We had some awesome thunder storms roll through today so I just sat in my garage stitching away watching it.

It shouldn't be too hard to remove the fabric from the foam to restitch.

I've removed the fabric from these seats, and there's a bit of trouble with some rods that are used to hold the cloth down in the low parts of the seat bottom. I never tried to put it back in, but it looked like it would be somewhat difficult. Same for the seat back.

I knew it, I knew it!!
I knew this was too good to be true.

After 20 months of loving this Jeep it's starting to give me problems.
There is grease on the underside of the transfer case so I think a seal is starting to go and the left rear turn signal isn't working.
Front and rear right ones work fine....maybe a bulb or a lose connection...who knows.

Out comes the Haynes manual

Luckily the bulbs were just not in correctly but still got some dripping fluid on the garage floor....but not too bad.

I finally got a chance to sew the map holder to the passenger seat and repair the seat covers.
Not much...but I do enjoy fixing up the little things.
But sewing to a seat cover that's already on...time consuming.

Thanks again to Drew for pointing me in the direction of that seat cover all that time ago.

She wouldn't start yesterday morning...battery was fine and you could smell the fuel but just wouldn't engage and genius me flooded it.
Pulled the plugs and let the cylinders air out overnight and replaced the plugs and cables today....now she'll start but not idle unless you're pressing the pedal.

Idle air control (IAC) was my target according to a mechanic friend of mine so I went online and found its location under the hood and matched it to mine.
Nice little cable barely hanging on...must have come lose while changing the plugs.

Plugged it back up and just waiting for the engine to de-flood before we try again.

Anyone had this joyful issue on theres?
I don't know jack when it comes to the workings of an engine so this is all new to me.

Replaced the IAC module and she's purring like a kitten again. Easy fix if you know what you're looking for...sadly I didn't.
But while I was greasing it up I pulled off the running boards to get them repainted (flaking pretty badly) and attempted to change the fuel filter.
FYI a regular fuel filter won't work with the fuel line setup on early 90's Wranglers. You'll need a filter with a 90 degree 'in' and regular filters have a straight 'in' and 'out'. I threw my old one back on for now and I'll find the correct one online.
