Yellowknife, NT - Jeep10
Hi everyone,
When I found this site back in November of 2009 I decided to sign up quickly. This site at the time was the only site I could find with so much information (and still growing) on the Jurassic Park jeep.
I started off with a 1992 Jeep YJ on Kijiji in Sherwood Park, Alberta. I picked it up February 2010 and drove it back to my home town of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. There the Jeep began a very slow transformation.
Most of the time it sat in storage due to the winter months. Summer of 2010 was extremely busy and funding wasn't possible. But I continued to collect parts.
Then finally, this 2011 summer after a solid 6 days of putting things together, I finally got the Jeep finished (minus the front license plate, door panels, Jeep side decals, 4.0L HO decal, utility box handles - working on all this). So without further ado, I represent to you my Jeep10. I always loved Muldoon's Jeep
Thanks goes out to DLR Customs (my team), Superior Auto Body (Ian and his team), and Signs & Designs (Derek and his team).
I purchased the paint at CMAX. Colors were 'Sand Beige Poly (Low Gloss)' LJ1 and 'Radiant Fire' KRD.
Let's start off with some before pictures.
Here it is back in March 2010 Here we begin initial prep work on June 17, 2011 Day 1, assembly starts. July 9, 2011 Day 2, fender and hood stencil applied and masked off. July 10, 2011 Day 3, ready to shoot the red. July 11, 2011 Day 4, five wheels getting prepped (wheels taken off their beads) Day 5, wheels are done and mounted Day 6, done Waiting for the 4.0L High Output decal to show up

Winch is an REP8000 (the 6000 series was discontinued) with a modern day decal and fairlead. Waiting for Jeep decals to arrive Waiting for door panels to arrive The handles will have to be adjusted and moved up Custom Jeep10 plate. I will be painting the tin plate inside with an amber coat Why not Bad camera color, they are green Now for some pictures of how I drive it because the law states I cannot modify the seat belts into lap belts

Thank you very much for the kind words Boomerjinks!
In fact it was your Jeep that inspired me, I'm sure as many others, to build my own JP Jeep.

Wow! That's incredible! Very nice work indeed.

What? No 'check back later for more progress'?
Where is the 'edge of your seat' anticipation?
Ahh just kidding, VERY nice indeed!
Are those rear boxes custom or bought?
To me they could be either as they're a simple design.
Very nice indeed, another beauty on the road

Thank you mydigitalvoid!
cpltony,
I will be posting more photos once the 'Jeep', '4.0L High Output' decals, front license plate, complete soft top all show up
Also, the boxes were purchased. They are the basic 'Delta Utility Box' part # 810000. I paid $174.62CND for each box.
However, I had to modify them since the boxes came with a top key lock, no latches, and colored white.
Currently, I have removed the handles and will be welding them back on in a higher position as they were in the film.
As you can see, I'm very bad at taking pictures during my work in progress but like taking pictures once it's almost finished
