If I have to do anything to the tub then it will push me past the window of being able to paint it this year so if thats the case ill get a premo tub, por 15 the bottom and take it down to bare metal. My buddy can do the swap for me and while Ill pay him he probably wont hurt me too bad. I dont want to have to do it but if I do, it will give me a chance to do everything 110%. Hell, I might throw in a V8 while Im at it. :)

On a lighter note, I got my east dock sigh today and UPS says I should have my hard hats by the time I get off work so yay.

So I had 3 tubs in Tennessee to look at today. all were said to be in perfect condition, no rust no dents, all 100%. I was sure I would have a new body to get this project back on path. So on my only day off for about 14 days I drive 5 hours south. The first tub was from a tj and the hole for the tranny had been "saws-alled" not a good start. 40 minutes south from there I meet up with a guy that says he has a great tub. I shit you not, there was no floor pans on either side, under the doors was rolled where they used chains to hold it to the frame, and the back was smashed in to the point that the wheel well on the passenger side had a "hill" in the middle. NOT EVEN FIXABLE!!!!!! when I responded angrily that I drove almost 6 hours to see scrap metal he laughed and said "A rubber mallet will fix that up" A) Not the point, and B) It was bent in at least 7" with several creases. He then said a truck hit it and totaled it. People are so stupid!!!
Will I ever complete my jeep? Its really getting me down.

I just drove 6 hours to take my Jeep home, and although I was in a good mood since I finally got the Jeep, it was long and tiring to drive that much. I can only Imagine what it's like to drive that much only to get disappointed. Hang in there though, something will turn up for you!

You'll complete your jeep don't worry! Builds like these take a lot of time. Unless you have a lottt of money to throw away. Even then sometimes its difficult. All the hard work pays off in the end

A few reasons. My birthday is November 12th, I'm a big Seinfeld fan and "Newman" drove number 12, and I wanted awesome lights on it.
