Re: My Explorer: Sneak peak
Dawww, thanks fellas. It's just a matter of time before someone tops mine though. She's pretty good lookin, but there's room for improvement for sure. Some bits of it were done haphazardly and will need fixing but I'm feeling pretty dedicated to making it look as accurate as I can. At the same time my tendency toward being pragmatic about it takes over sometimes so things like the running boards and mirror antennas are acceptable now but will eventually get under my skin and need to be replaced. Working on getting the clear glass all around but the 2 rear passenger windows are riveted into the window regulators (no bolts) and my drill died at the junkyard while I was drilling the rivets out. Lame!
Thanks for letting an Explorer have the spotlight on a Jeep forum guys. Really glad to be part of this community.

Looks fantastic! PRetty sure my wife would kill me if I started another project, but the Fords are definitely more rare than the Jeeps...

That, and the cash for clunkers program 4 years ago annihilated explorers.Jack_Fauth wrote:Yea cause most of them are dead and gone...Jeeps last foreverfantomas wrote: but the Fords are definitely more rare than the Jeeps...

Re: My Explorer: Sneak peak
If we had a more detailed build to looks through it would give members more confidence to take on this conversion. I have access to a explorer but the paint scheme is scary. This Explorer looks awesome and it was done cheap.
