Rain Jacket

Post by DrewSmith007 » January 29th, 2012, 5:42 pm

I fired up the vinyl cutter today and did a test cut on the pants portion of the Harbor Freight rain suit. It took a little work, but I got the vinyl to stick really well. It takes trying to peel the edges up to get them to come off.

Once I order the other colors, I'll be laying down a black background and the colors on top of that, so it should be pretty permanent. I'll also have some vinyl left over for some door decals if anyone needs them.

I traced the image from the scan of the park brochure that's been floating around for awhile.

What do you guys think? Also, does anyone have a pic of a screen used that I can get good dimensions from? I'll look through the movie tonight.

That looks really great I would like to see it completed. Then maybe I'd try lol. So did you cut the image out of the vinyl or did you have it made?

I cut the image out of vinyl. I have a cheapo vinyl cutter, but it gets the job done. I've been meaning to order the colors of the logo, but I've got too many things on my plate at the moment. I've had to completely stop working on some projects in order to get something done.

I've got two Harbor Freight rain jackets that would need these.

Any chance you could facilitate? Those look awesome!!

Seems like there's enough interest to do these. I'll be able to get my vinyl sample book this weekend, get the colors ordered and start making some headway on this. Does anyone have a good screenshot for which logo was used, and where?

I've also got medium and large jackets to test sizes. Does anyone think they'll need larger or smaller that those?

The harbor freight jackets run small. I'm a pretty small dude and a medium is still too small.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Short of finding a harbor freight and trying one on, I don't know what to tell people. I can get measurements from mine, if it helps.
