Jeep Driver Hats (2nd Run)
Jeep Driver hat update #1 (read entire post before commenting):
I received the first sample of the Jeep Driver hat last week. They made it with an ugly yellow green twill, but I think that was just to discourage people from ordering one-offs via samples. The actual fabric swatch they want to use is pictured alongside the sample and the first run of hats I offered last year. I took head on and profile shot of the hat, and also color corrected the body in photoshop to give a better idea of what it might look like in the final production run.
Here are the notes I passed on to the manufacturer:
-The logo is missing the thin outer black border.
-The snapback strap should be dark brown.
-I'd prefer a shade of khaki that is less red (last year's run was spot on)
Finally, they were supposed to send me a swatch of faux suede fabric. This would reduce costs by $10-$15 per hat. Real suede, though screen accurate, would not only be expensive, but also harder to clean. Additionally, if they ship their hats with their company sticker on ever brim, its leaves behind a shadow when removed from real suede (see the first picture).
I want to see this faux suede before I place the order, and will probably post a poll asking people's preference on the subject before placing the order.
I think that just about covers where we stand right now. That being said, I welcome comments - especially constructive criticism of the sample so we can get the final run correct.

Re: Jeep Driver Hats (2nd Run)
I recently discovered that none of my PMs are being delivered. I apologize to everyone that has messaged me over the past year and not gotten a response. If anyone would like to include their email address in their PMs, I'll gladly respond.
Please note that I am not taking pre-orders for the hats, but don't worry - I will be getting 6 times as many hats with this order as I did with the last one, so there will be more than enough to go around.

Re: Jeep Driver Hats (2nd Run)
Update #2
The faux suede is a good color match, but I’m not thrilled about the texture. It looks too much like fabric, so expect these to be made using genuine suede.
The new embroidery is slightly smaller than the last one. It now measures 3 1/4” wide and includes the black border as the movie hats did.
The pictured logo is embroidered on the same fabric I received as a swatch with the lime green sample hat. I believe the color of that swatch was too red, so they provided a few other options, and I feel A0127 is the closest.
They’ll also be using brown snap backs as pictured.
If anyone has any more feedback/criticism/suggestions before I place the order, speak now or forever hold your peace. The order needs to get in soon to get the hats by the JPMP meet in Branson.
Speaking of Branson, something has come up at work and it looks like I may not be able to make it, but I want everyone that wants a hat to have one. I’m not sure how I’ll work this out yet. If you’re planning on attending, I may send your orders in one shipment to the Honeysuckle Inn - I don’t know yet.
I’m expecting these to cost about $20 apiece, but that is not the final price. I’m not taking preorders, but you’ll know as soon as I get them in.
One final note, once I’m able to recoup some capital with the sale of these hats, I’ll be working to make the Dr. Harding hats. The only difference will be the color of the suede and body.
