JP/Off-Road style 2000 Subaru Forester

Post by wrangler93 » January 31st, 2014, 12:11 am

Well, since I'm going to be looking for a good vehicle - any early 90's Jeeps don't seem to be the case with my folks.... Pfft "Safety", who needs that in a park full of dino's!? ;)

Anyway, I was thinking of getting a 2000 Subaru forester as my vehicle, and doing some amazing upgrades to it in the style of Jurassic Park :) Did anybody want to do me a photoshop of what it could look like done up this way (ie: winch, lightbar, lift, tire and paint)?

Thanks guys!

done up like the tour explorer would be the way to go. I think your parents are advising you correctly. If i had to drive my jeep every day i would get tired of it. Driving on the highway isnt that much fun, especially if you are in a hurry.

Exactly! Plus the mpg on this badboy are like, holy crap it's pretty good! Hmmm, explorer style... Or I could always go TLW style

MY DD is a Subaru Outback. In fact, I've owned 6 Subarus (no Foresters though) and they are so easy to work on, and very reliable.

I agree about making it a tour vehicle. Although not a Forester, they painted up this Subaru wagon http://imgur.com/a/wCzyT and I think the Forester would look better (at least on the front end) done up like that.

Well, I tried my best in photoshop but, as for accessories I can fabricate all of this stuff for free at my local school shop, but I'm still deciding on the paint, rims and tires though... :ugeek:

Stay with the factory wheels and i think they used the BF's on all the movie cars. The factory wheels have that utilitarian look that you need.

Best I could do using pixlr.com at work... unfortunately I don't exactly have time to work on this when I'm not at work on a computer with proper photo editing software...

Actually, I think that could work, maybe a little twist with camouflage colours like TLW (Really digging the Mercedes' from that film) but definitely going to install a lift, roof/light rack, custom winch bumper and some nice BFGoodrich's, and of course some decals here and there.

Thanks for the photoshop BTW!

actually i really think the lost world idea is good. i mean with the proper fabrications it would be hard to tell the difference.
