Re: Alan Grant props-Water bottle and carrier
So dying the carrier black worked amazingly well. I used the powder rit dye with some vinegar on the stove top. I had two colors of carriers that I did at the same time, one was originally blue and one was orange. I cant even tell the difference, they both took the dye really well.
So I had a co-worker sew the patch on for me, he also moved half of the strap further down the bottle to match the movie one. Came out awesome!

Unfortunately, the patches are quite rare. So unless someone can get more embroidered...marscreature wrote:Looks great!

Cyrix, that carrier looks great. Now I have the desire to dye the ones that I have that are blue. Great job.

Yeah, you guys don't want to see the test patch my friend did. It's decent but really lacks the fine fidelity of the real thing. Back to the drawing board!

Re: Alan Grant props-Water bottle and carrier
Found another vendor on making the A16 patch. She's confident she can replicate the patch. There's a $50 setup to replicate it but I'll eat the cost if there's enough interest here in the run.

Well, naturally I found a hat with the patch in the midst of talking about getting the patch replicated.
If you guys want the contact info for the patch gal let me know since there doesn't seem to be quite enough interest for me to pay for getting a run done (qty 12+)

Re: Alan Grant props-Water bottle and carrier
Ok folks, I'm thinning the collection so I thought someone here might want this lot... (EDIT: SOLD but I'll leave it here for reference pics!)
This is an actual Adventure16 bag, but it was made for wine bottles and not the water bottles. It does fit the correct bottle diameter wise, but it is a little tall.
It also has a little flap on the top that acts as a cover. I'm not sure if the movie one had one that was tucked inside too or if this is just special for the wine bottle ones...
The whole thing could really easily be cut down by anyone with any talent in sewing. When the bottle is pushed into its correct position, you can see the holy grail shot.
The logo on it is the newer Adventure16 and as you can see, I tried to scrape it off with a razor but stopped. You could sew the patch over this possibly? The
Also included is the correct Adventure16 patch still sewn on to some harness webbing.
In addition to that, there is the correct spout water bottle.
I'm also throwing in the two other nylon bags I purchased before I found the A16 one for you to try out too.
Took me forever to acquire all this so I'm asking (EDIT: SOLD) shipped in the US. PM me!
