Another one here who has the patch but has been searching for the carrier and bottle.
Three continents...not found anything close enough yet.

Glad to know I'm not the only one.

With regards to the bottle, look for the Nalgene scientific bottles. They are out there and have the proper lip:

That looks a lot closer in color. I didn't even see that one when I did a search. Guess I'm getting old.

Just looked on Fleabay and there are two sellers. One selling it at $9.95 and the other at a whopping $21 (in his wildest wettest dreams). Amazon has 9 ranging from $7 to $10. Funny thing is that one of the Flebay sellers (BuffaloGapOutfitters-$9.95) is also selling the exact same thing on Amazon for $8.76.

I think that I'm just going to buy a couple since I'm having trouble finding packcloth in black for a reasonable price (and not having to buy 10 yards) and by the time I have the cord and spring closure (and NOT counting my time), it would probably about the same price.

Thanks for finding that black one, Chase65. Good find.

Well, just bought two from Buffalo Gap Outfitters on Amazon for a total of $17.52 with free shipping. The same company is selling 1 on ebay for $9.95 with free shipping. I guess I'll have backups now.

Shadeone, thanks for the side-by-side pic. That helps a lot.

Well, I just noticed (after I had already paid for them, of course) that the bottle carriers are "insulated". When they arrive, I'll see if they can be modified to remove the "insulation" and make it more like the original.

Great work here, bros. This is something I've been meaning to recreate for a long time. Do you think we can get a small "run" done on the patches?

I think that I may have found the "scientific" version of the water bottles.

Unfortunately, you can't see the neck in the pix.

I'll keep searching.

Here ya go...

the seller sent me pics of the mouth and its the correct one. You wont have the correct cap, but hey, there was never a cap actually seen on the one in the movie ;)

True about the cap, but that bottle version is a squeeze bottle and is pretty thin walled. We use them at work and they won't stand up to much abuse. However, the thicker walled version will probably have the proper neck and be more like the Nalgene bottles that I have now. IIRC, ThermoScientific is a division of Nalgene for their "professional" line of lab equipment. Good catch, though.
