Caught a Triceratops on the way home today!

Post by ScottWarrior » February 17th, 2014, 11:56 pm

Okay so I know that some of you have become extremely disappointed at the fact that during a rain storm you have not encountered a Dilophosaurus in your Jurassic Park Jeeps. Even if it had the number 12 on it. Nor have any of you come across a T-Rex trying to destroy your tour vehicles. However today while I was out I came across a baby Triceratops who needed a good home. So I picked him up and put him in the backseat of the Jeep. Oddly enough I received all kinds of weird looks on the way home. I mean I know I haven't painted my Jeep yet or put on my decals, but I kind of thought it was completely natural for someone to transport a baby Triceratops in the back seat of a Beige YJ Sahara Jeep with a spice soft top. Anyway got him home safe and of course he enjoyed the ride. I think he will probably go on road trips with us quite a bit in the future.

Ive always thought about grabbing one of those and re-skinning it in foam latex for a realistic look. It may even be possible to just build up the latex over the existing fabric. Hmm, off to do more research....

Cute! I picked up one of these cheap at a local thrift store but haven't gotten around to painint it or taking off the handle yet. i was thinking of painting over the plush with latex paint, though maybe not if they've become that expensive now. I still have the Dilophosaurus that rides in the back of my jeep.

I once saw a stuffed figure just like this on top of an old Explorer (Not a Jurassic Park one) and thought it was the greatest things ever. I'll post a picture if I can find one.
