pretty sure it was grey

The original pelican case in the movie is a grey King Pelican Case with side latches, there are earlier King Pelican Cases that do not have the side latches.
The King Case size was later changed to the 1600 along with improvements such as a fold-able handle, thicker latches, and minor durability design improvements.

I'm still leaning toward the sand beige to match the jeep !
