JP Pelican Cooler

Post by Rocky » February 8th, 2013, 3:53 pm

For a while have been toying with the idea of getting a nice outdoor cooler, I loved the look of a YETI but when I found this Pelican that was cheaper and had thicker insulation I knew that was gonna be my choice. And when I saw the cooler, all I could think of was the Pelican cases in the movie, So I had my local decal shop make this sticker for $8 bucks. I think it turned out really well!

What would put this over the top in awesomeness would be if there was a sticker on the top that read: "Cold Storage: Embryo Transport" or something. :D

Whoa! $300 bucks! I think the wife would kill me! It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission though  I could see this at car shows this summer. I only need a ice chest around three or four times a year though. Its hard to justify that price for four times a year use.

Edit>>> There is one on ebay for $200 but still, whoa!

I bought it from an outdoors store named Kevin's in downtown Thomasville, GA. They had it listed for $269.00 and he knocked 20 bucks off so including tax it was less than $265 but a quick google search I found it for $225 on amazon. That same store actually had their Yeti Coolers for 25% off to make room for more of these Pelican coolers. These things are way more than just a prop. You can keep ice easily for 4-5 days, that's the reason I picked it, even though I had long planned on a yeti. The visual aspect as a prop was just icing on the cake. They are made In the USA and are also guaranteed for life as opposed to 5 years for yeti. I promise I'm not a rep for these guys I'm just really proud of this product. You might be able to find some deals on eBay. But as far as I can read even if you buy it used, you still get that warranty.
