Re: SPAS-12
Very nice. I've been thinking lately that I need to get one.

Re: SPAS-12
How much did you get it for? I want to get a shotgun as well, but I'm pretty sure the SPAS will be out of my price range.

How much?

Re: SPAS-12
A little more then I was looking to spend, $1,700, BUT this one has never been fired and came with every thing but the box (manual, sling, choke tubes, hook, scope mount)
It seems these have gone up in price even more recently; not that long ago you could find one with the folding stock for around $1,100 - $1,300. The only ones I could find in that range now are really beat.

Re: SPAS-12
Pretty soon with all that cool stuff, you could open up your own Island of Adventure
Re: SPAS-12
Damn. Most I have seen have been in the $800-$1000 range... but as you said, they are probably pretty well used.
EDIT: Just did some looking. They are all going for $1500-$2000 now. So I'd say you got a deal for a brand new one.

Ouch! I once saw one for $1,200 and I thought that was too high, but brand new (never fired) with all the bells and whistles I'd say is pretty good.$1,700
Congratulations!!

Re: SPAS-12
Cyrix you lucky bastard! In all seriousness you did quite well considering the condition of the gun and all the extras. I've been jonesing for a SPAS recently myself, and some of those accessories are rare as hens teeth. The sling alone is worth about $150. In all seriousness, if you ever decide to get rid of the accessories let me know. Also, for the love of god, DO NOT USE THE LEVER SAFETY...it's not a question of if, but when it will cause the gun to inadvertently fire when taken off safe. I'd advise you to either:
a) use the quick deployment safety exclusively.
b) have the lever safety converted to a push button style (best and safest option, and most likely wouldn't hurt screen accuracy as the lever safety was recalled in 91 anyway, so everything you'd see in the movie would've had the push button safety)
c) Not fire the gun (what the hell is wrong with you if you choose this option?!?)
d) Sell me the gun.

Safety is of utmost importance so in the interest of safety I'll take it off your hands at no cost to you whatsoever!!jeepnrover wrote:...d) Sell me the gun.
I cannot believe anyone would try to profit from an unsafe situation such as this....jeepnrover...really?
That's like selling someone a chainsaw for $10,000 as their leg is about to be crushed by a huge tree limb so they have no other option....tsk tsk tsk!!!
