Just so y'all know, JP 10 will be televised on the Hallmark Channel on Monday, December 10th, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time/Pacific Standard Time) and 5:00 p.m. (Central Time), followed by another national telecast on the Hallmark Movie Channel on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time/Pacific Standard Time) and 5:00 p.m. (Central Time).

I watched the parade on tv and it literally only showed the jeep for 2 seconds, I bet being in the parade was a blast though

Yeah, sorry about that everyone. Looks like a lot was left on the cutting room floor! We did have a great time though! Not every day do you get to drive on red carpet in front of the Graumann's Chinese Theater.

Did you add any flexer to the paint on your fenders and steps? If so, where did you get it and how did you mix it? If not, are you having any problems with cracking and such?

This is a question for him i know but just to give my opinion. Paint has a natural flex to it. Think of all the new cars with rubber bumpers now and they are all painted. Some of the guys on the forum have changed to metal fender flares and others have not. I have yet to hear of anyone complaining of chipping with the factory plastic flares. With my factory paint i have only noticed that the plastic fender flares and side step have shown paint discoloration. I think this is from the way the sun bakes the paint differently. The plastic soaks the heat up better and makes the paint brake down faster? I really dont know but even so it is a 92 paint job and still looks great. I say keep the plastic. Plus if they get bumped they will not bend and the paint will be fine.

On another note look at a car with a big dent in one of the panels. There is always paint in the dent.

TCPGlobal recommended an adhesion promoter (http://www.tcpglobal.com/autobodydepot/ ... E+ETP0123B) only for unpainted plastic parts. All my plastic parts were painted so I did not use any and none of my fenders have experienced any kind of chipping whatsoever. There is a small area of chipping on one side step, but I attribute that to not enough sanding/scuffing in that area. Very easy to touch-up though.

Thanks for the quick response, Im buying my jeep this weekend and will be ordering my paint supplies so I just want to check and see what you did. Ordered the Harbor Freight spray gun to, thanks for mentioning that in the other thread.
