Re: my jurassic park jeep
ok so paint codes
sand beige poly 92 jeep color: 27055
performance red 92 ford color: 4614 (remember unlike the beige this need flattener added to it)
here are some pictures i took today after i got the antenna installed and I was having a tough time figuring out how to attach that bad boy to the windshield and they were not any good pictures of how other guys did besides using a light bar which i dont have yet so i used some small bolts, washers and nuts

Re: my jurassic park jeep
hmmmm.... do you guys think I should strip the fog lights off my other jeep and put them on the JP jeep?
Re: my jurassic park jeep
Totally, that would bring it one step closer to the film. The paint is spot on, great job with that! What were the specs on the original if you don't mind me asking?

Re: my jurassic park jeep
this jeep has been though a lot in its lifetime
this is my theory on it
when i got it was a very very dark green
I think it was originally a laredo because it had the laredo graphics on when i got. which would mean that it came with a hard top and full doors which makes sense because it has the little switches for the defroster and the wiper and it also has the wiring and the wiper fluid line running to back for the hard top. when i got it it had a soft top and half doors so somewhere along the line it lost the hard top and full doors. but then if the half doors where and afterthought wouldn't there be a separate key for them? or maybe the one of the pervious owners just changed the locks over, it's not very hard to do.
so anyways I guess the jeep had been stolen at one time and wasn't found within the 30 days so it was written off, but then it was found and put up for auction. so the guy that I bought if from had a buddy that is a auto wreaked so they can buy up all of these "written" off vehicles at a fraction of the price. so he bought it and got another vin number for it and drove it around for a few years then I bought it
kinda of an interesting story i guess
lol
