here it is from start to finish..
Ok so this is going to be my build thread, It took me about 8 months off and on to locate a Sahara with the saraha trim. I really wanted to find the right color but then just finding a 92 to 95 jeep was a task by itself. Also i was really having a hard time finding a stock suspension Jeep
First thing i bought was a set of wheels to have sandblasted
Here is the picture the guy sent me on Craigslist to get me to drive 150 miles to look at it

I found out when i got there that he took this picture in the rain and the paint was not as he decribed
I figured i could part out the hardtop, doors and wheels and do the conversion with the cash made from those sales
More to come.....

the doors were purple...yuck and the top turns out won't work because it is missing a ton of parts. plus it is for full doors and the Jurassic jeeps had the square windows and frame.
Sold the wheels monday and had new tires put on my newly sandblasted wheels. I did not paint em yet as i was worried that the tire shop may scratch them when they put on the tires
I also was worried about driving this with red wheels on a green jeep...can you say x-mas colors..LOL

pulled out the old carpet last night , the tub is in excellent shape, and picked up a new back seat from an owner who never used it and sold his jeep without it...gotta love Craigslist!!
Also picked up a new set of Flares and side steps,
the old ones were rubbing the oversized tires the PO had on the jeep as seen here
Oh and my wife figured out she could spell her name in the old Wrangler stickers...LOL

Very nice, looks pretty good. Who cares how the green paint looks anyhow
. Nice score on the back seat, still looking for one that isn't so sun faded like mine is. My rear flares were radiused like that too. I'd treat that rust with some POR15 before it gets any worse.
Congratulations on the find. Where are you in PA?

small update.... had some mechanical issues with the rear wheel cylinders and brake lines. Got it all replaced and the brakes work better than ever.
Decided to paint the rear rims...they came out very Jurassic like....

Awesome!
I am REALLY into the look of the black/silver scheme those wheel has originally. Filed away in my brain if I ever own a regular Jeep!
