The recondition is done. Now they set up the engine. But the mechanics are slow. They take too long to reform my jeep. But I prefer to keep my car in this machine shop because all the other I know in my town are very bad.

The engine is now ready to be tested.

What a piece of artwork this engine is! A friend of mine have the same car with the same engine. He drove 1,500,000 (!) kilometers (~932,000 mi) without repairings, only changing the oil every 10,000 kilometers.

My uncle send me some pictures from october 2006, when he dismounted the car. Those are the best pictures I have before I start the ongoing rebuilt.

Now the engine is working and painted.

I changed the old brake system to modern disk brakes.

I'll also change the old metal diesel tank (40 liters) to a big plastic tank (80 liters).
Image

I added tablets to reduce friction between the car's suspension leaf springs, that will make the car softer when on the road.

Here are the installed front disk brakes:

The revised rear brakes:

And the engine in place, for some measurements. It will come out again, to be painted in grey. The same color as the car.

How come your not going with the known color of the jeep? I mean your gonna be painting it....thats like painting the Batmobile purple not black, or the Ecto 1 light gray instead of white?

Alright. As seen in the screen I thought it was a simple grey, but now I saw the post and I'm convinced.
