The bodywork is in place for some measurements.
The windscreen is also rusted and will be repaired.

Today I sanded two pieces from the side of the vehicle. The primer of the previous painting was so thick that the letters "BANDEIRANTE" were barely visible.

The windscreen is now installed.
The battery case (below driver's seat) was converted to a storage compartment. The place were the old diesel tank was installed (below passenger's seat) was converted to a truck battery case (bigger than the original one, 150 Ah) and another storage compartment.

Here is the new battery case.
Originally, the Land Cruiser has fewer instruments in the panel. I had to cut the base of the panel to allow more instruments to be installed, such as:
- pressure of lubricating oil
- temperature of lubricating oil
- battery voltage
- battery amperes
- clock
- fuel level
- tachometer
Here is an original Land Cruiser panel (just a few switchers and instruments):

I bought small steel plates to close the holes
Then I cut it with plasma to fit the instruments
This is to prevent dirt and mud to come inside the vehicle from the fuel nozzle hole

Henrique, this is totally up to you of course, but when you finish your Land Cruiser, I think you should paint it with the Explorer paint scheme since in the book, the Explorers were supposed to be Land Cruisers after all. Just a thought. Great job so far!

Re: Henrique's Jurassic Land Cruiser #26
Thanks, guys. I'm doing the best I can in order to get the best vehicle not only because I want a good JP jeep, but because it will be my daily drive car.
WRXFlyer, thank you for the tip but I think the explorer painting is too colorful... And I admire the JP jeeps more than the explorers in terms of designing. My jeep is also convertible, so it will came better with the jeep color scheme instead the tour car.
I'll keep posting updates as long they happen. I'm trying to get the car finished no later than august.
