CplTony's Jeep # 18
CplTony's Jeep # 18
It needs some paint touch up on the drivers side and the lightbar lights installed...but I saved a lot of time and money buying pre-converted

Looks nice, did that belong to anyone on here? It looks gray in the pictures, is it really that gray color?
Congrats, that probably did save some $ over a straight up build. I know I'll have more than what you paid on ebay for sure by the time mine is all done. Good score on that one.

Nice! I was gonna go with an 18, guess I should pick another number... Congrats!
Re: CplTony's Jeep # 18
I don't believe so...was just someone who had one done and needed money for college.
It is gray...the photo's pick up the colors pretty well.
Drew go with an 18 if you want to.....I don't hold the monopoly on it

I confused myself. I want to do nedry's jeep, and its a 12, so we're good... I really do want to come see it when I get back though.
Re: CplTony's Jeep # 18
Sure, let me know when you're in state.
Some minor work is needed on this, but mostly interior.
The seat back pockets were cut so I need to source those.
The seat covers are intact but the stitching is almost non-existent on the bench seat so I'll need to cover it or replace it.
A few hoses under the hood need to be replaced, but no major engine work is needed.
The battery is not strapped in...just handing lose on a shelf so that's an urgent fix.
The only exterior work needed is paint touch up on the drivers side running board which is flaking badly and some preemptive paintwork on the passenger side before it starts to flake. Everything else is just a spot here and there.
Overall I'm very pleased with this buy and can't wait for summer where I can take the top off and have some fun

Lookin good.
I'd imagine the seat pockets wouldnt be that hard to find, you have to buy a set of trashed/faded seats to get them though.
My back seat has some stitching missing, but the seat is in otherwise good condition I wonder if it could be re-stitched without taking the seat-cover off.

I'm going to check some pull apart places to see if they have any laying around, trouble is if the good parts have gone more than likely the seat pockets have to or they've been open to the elements for too long.
As for the seat covers, I was thinking more along the lines of just buying a seat cover to put over the existing covers.
Ill re-stitch the old seat covers first but my stitching isn't the best so I wouldn't want to rely on it.
