Score one barely used BFG AT in 30x9.5 for $40 off craigslist. Still need to hit the local pullaparts to see if I can find wheels.

Its all good, I still am debating with the family between 13, 14 or 29 :). 14 has always been our lucky number.

Made some small progress this weekend. My bumpstops were pretty much nonexistant so I found a set and got those put on this weekend. POR15'ed some more frame after needle scaling. Got 3 of them off with liberal amounts of PB Blaster. Broke a bolt and rounded a head on the last one. Ended up having to weld that one on. But that wasn't too big a deal. Located some 4 wheels that a friend had laying around, still need one for the spare. Also still looking for a lightbar, may investigate fabbing one if I can find a local jeeper that can bend 1.5 tube.

Found my JP plate so I hung it out front.

Actually pulled the Jeep out and washed it turned out nice:

Tear.

It looks like mine should look if mine weren't all rusty and dirty.

Looks GREAT.

Made a wee bit of progress this weekend. Replaced the swiss cheese exhaust manifold and only managed to break off one of the old bolts :).

Determined that my output seal on the old 32RH has to be pretty dry rotted. May try to tackle next week, after liberal amounts of PB blaster to the skid bolts and tranny/TC bolts. Hopefully this should remedy the bloody mess it leaves. Anyone replaced that output seal? That is one part of a Jeep I haven't had to do before. Hopefully with the removal of the transfer case and a seal pick it should be pretty easy. That should solve the last leak on the YJ. I'll be glad to move from the maintenance/repair mode to something more fun like paint :). But hey its a 20 year old Jeep, and its pretty fun.

Good news story, I pulled my driveshafts and transfer case and replaced the output seal in my transmission. It was alot of work to pull out everything just to get to that $12 seal. If anyone needs coaching thru that I'd be happy to help. That old seal was hard and brittle, first time I can park on the driveway and not look like a murder scene when I pull away.

What all did you have to pull?

Its only 4 bolts on the yoke. (but those 4 bolts are special and require a special socket. That is where they get you!).

Since that seal sits on the end of the tranny extension the T/C has to come off. Had to pull the skidplate, remove both driveshafts, disconnect the T/C linkage/vent/front axle actuator, then the 6 bolts holding the T/C to the tranny.

It wasn't overly hard, but a good 3-4 hours work pulling off everything and cleaning and about 2 cans of brake cleaner. The seal took about 2 minutes to swap :).

If you need a hand sometime let me know I work in JAX and MCO alot.
