Finally some progress. These 60 hour work weeks arent leaving me much time for the jeep. I got the light bar 98% done and im getting closer to being finished with the sanding. What do you guys think about this setup? I know they arent jabsco's but I got really excited seeing them up there after a year of owning them.

Those lights look good :D I dont see any problem with em... Are you going to try to make the arms and light rings for them?

I was going to but I think Im going to paint the outer bezel LJ1 and the inner bezel that moves red. There isnt much room for the rings on these lights.

I was hauling the Jeep to my friends house this weekend to work on some stuff that was over my skill level and the Hood flew back as I was driving down the road. The Hood is destroyed and the cowl is smashed up pretty good. And to think, I was only weeks away from shooting paint. I have a pro coming to look at it but I might have to get a new tub. Definitely killed my mood for a while.

Yep, sorry to hear David. If we can help scrounge up any parts in ATL let me know. I did see a sahara tub the other day for $550.

How'd it get into the cowl? Never seen a hood get that far back unless it torqued the hood hinge mounts.

Im calling it the cowl, but its the part where the windshield mounts. I had the windshield frame off so the hood came back and smashed it in and even bent my steering wheel. I cant find any good tubs in my state so if I do end up needing one Ill need all the help I can get. Id hate to drive hours and hours just to find a tub in worse shape than mine. I just emailed the guy near you Dave, thanks.

Let me know if I can help. I found a couple on www.copartfinder.com if you could get a rear bashed one you could probably cut out that part of the cowl. It would be easier than a tub swap.
