Re: David's JP project (spike42718)
So my shipping guy called me yesterday and said when they went to pick up the tub, they were informed the order had been cancelled. I called to try and figure out why. I was told I called sometime friday and told them I didnt want it. I told them I never called them, then spent all day playing phone tag. I got up this morning and somebody has placed a deposit on it. WTF!!!! They are giving them till tonight to complete the transaction but I cant help but feel like there yanking my chain. Ive spent hundreds on gas going from state to state trying to find a nice tub. Its getting out of hand. If this deal goes sour I might be done with the project all together.
Go ahead, make fun of my JP jeep. Then all of a sudden a T-rex comes out of nowhere!!!!!!!!............The jeep only sets 4, who's laughing now?

Sounds like they got a better offer. I would call, or threaten to call, their better business bureau. I doubt they'll care much, but you never know.

I gave them what they were asking for, the other guy has only made a deposit. Hes waiting on a freight quote. I might have to call the better business bureau just to prove a point, If the deal goes to hell.

As of march 1st it was my property, then on the 7th the accept a deposit against it. Wouldn't that count as selling stolen property?

I would think so, or at least a reasonable threat to levy. Unless they've done this type of thing before and they know they're legally OK.

Well, they fixed there "mess up". I got a tub, hood, dash plate, steering wheel, tailgate, and all 3 sahara seats for $1000. Thats $250 less then what I paid for just the tub and hood from the other jeep so as long as it makes it here safe, I'm pretty happy. Wish me luck!!!
