Yeah, good eye. The guy I got it from said in 2008 it got a new frame (from a junk yard I would guess), a new top and a new paint job. There are several "un-JPjeep" things it needs, but Im going to get to those first. I dont want a JP Jeep that looks old. If anybody spots a Mopar light bar grab it!! so far its the only thing I cant find.

nice jeep, if the p.o. did a frame swap you know he was a true jeep guy=p. it also looks like it has a smaller body lift

Yeah, its a 1" body lift. I dont know if I'll keep it like that. I plan to do a 4.5" suspinsion lift at some point. My jeep will be the one you ride on Isla Sorna after the dinos were wild. A little more offroad friendly. If Nedry had what I plan to make my jeep, perhaps he could have made it to the boat. HAHAHAHA

Ive contacted several salvage yards and cant find the oem light bar. If I cant find one, what do you guys think about this one? I can take out a couple of inches from both sides to bring the top closer to the windshield.

That looks just like the Mopar one. Which was probably made by Olympic for Jeep.

It looks a little tall, but it looks like it comes apart and could probably be shortened.

The picture on the page shows it on a TJ. Its possible the design is slightly shorter for a YJ. Either way it looks lke it might be a good substitute and I may be ordering one. Price is not bad at all.

I bet you the TJ one is so tall since it has a fixed header in the top that would need to clear to fold back. The CJ/YJ one probably doesn't have that weird cant and probably is shorter. You could email olympic, I have done that in the past with their other products and they get back to you pretty quick. Maybe they have a stock photo of the YJ one, or could email

I don't see why you couldn't cut/sleeve and re-weld it. If you were closer I'd offer to weld it for you.
