Springfield Jurassic Jeep #31
Re: Springfield Jurassic Jeep #31
Was considering the new BFGoodrich Radial All-Terrain T/A KOs but the Michelins are still in great shape. And I WAS going to replace these rims with the stock versions but since these were still good, just corroded, and never had the experience, I decided to try refurbishing these. Powder coating came out great and now I don't want to replace them!

More updates. Despite having the plans from here, I was having a hard time finding someone who could fabricate my light bars. My father had a Kargo rack sitting around since 95 and it looked pretty damned close to what everyone was doing here. So I went for it.
At this point canon was out of the picture so I decided to make my JP the "Kilimanjaro" version.
After weeks of indecisiveness, finally settled on adding to the jeep. Called KargoMaster and ordered missing parts.

Weather wasn't great so I started on some of the little details. Like badges and tags and custom plates. Thanks for all the artwork and detail how to do this here. Home Depot chain and some laminate materials, along with old conference badges:

Would love to help. I have some friends down that way who see another JP in your town. They must visit these forums too.

Finally finished with the taping, painting and decals. I put the hardtop back on but still have more work to do. JEEP Decals etc. Waiting on those from the group here. Hard time finding the 4.0L with double 'L' and in gold.

Until I get the front bar back, I started with this quick zip tie.
I was hoping to weld a triangle cross member and angle bracket onto it before it went for powder coating. Like this:

Excellent! I'm in Hebron, next to Colchester on rt 2. Would love some extra eyes to help me itemize the things that need fixing.
