Love this idea. Did those wheels come stock with the Comanche?

Yes they did! Some upper trim ones had them. I was lucky- Im trying to find a single as a spare, its a pain.

No worthwhile updates lately- some bolt replacements and whatnot. Ill be seeing the truck for the second time in person next weekend, and going over what exactly I want done stripe/decal wise with the painter. I understand why they call it paint jail now!

Guess what? Its august 19th, T+3 days since goal date!

Ready for the update?

Got to Atlanta on Saturday. This is what I found...

Well then.

He stripped down the drivers 1/4 to bare metal to do a small repair

All factory metal! You dont get that in NY

So needless to say, I am not driving this home tomorrow.

Bought a Ramsey REP8000.

Going to take it apart with my uncle, see if we can get it going. Not sure if I'll use this or get a new winch to install. I'll sell it if anyone here wants ti for a Jeep.

Update- one step closer to paint.

Have to figure out how to lay out the number/hood decals. The side numbers we have to shoot the red, put on the numbers, then shoot the beige. Hood Im not sure if its red first, decal, beige or beige, decal, red. And get the INGEN decal for the tailgate.

Oh yay, Spam!

No updates since that last one- Im headed down that way again in just under a month. Im really hoping that it will at least have the LJ1 on by then, if not ready for reassembly. I might end up getting a new front plate- the one I had mounted to the bumper got a bit bent up in the shop.

Well, I went down.

This was perfect- fell off the stand when he was inspecting after drying. And I get a 'new' 29 year old handle for it.

It's looking great! I love the orginal color on it. The lines of the truck fit great with it!
