Northern IL #18

Post by eagle5740 » April 19th, 2015, 3:39 pm

Figured I would finally start a build thread now that I am in the thick of building.

1994 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, found on Ebay over in California, had it shipped to IL end of March. Been gathering supplies over the last few months for the build. Few pics when it first arrived.

Found a soft top on Craigslist, unfortunately the soft top hardware that came with the Jeep is wrong. Also playing with the magnets I came across. I'll be using actual decals on the final doors.

Finally have the proper soft top hardware on the Jeep and doing a test fit on the doors I came across. Also removed the pin stripes and the bug guard.

Finally got around to adding the first of the red stripes. Decided to go with Plasti dip for the time being.

Nice start. Do the doors have the pouches?

The doors do not. I was able to find someone selling just their Sahara interiors with pouches, so I got lucky.

Those look like retreads, the shoulder lugs don't look quite right. Could be wrong hard to tell, plus I'm no encyclopedia of tread designs, they just seem a little different from what I am used to seeing. Regardless they are awesome!
