GBD's JP 29
GBD's JP 29
Since about 2004 two of my friends and I have been researching and looking forward to the day when we could actually purchase a Jeep and turn it into a JP Jeep. About a month ago we saw Boomer's post on the RPF (not the first time we saw his Jeep) and one of my buddies jokingly said, "Ok now its our turn to build one." So yesterday I drove 2 1/2 hours to Cincinnati and picked up our Jeep!
Some info on our Jeep:
1993 Jeep Wrangler Sahara
Purchase Price: $4,000
Mileage: 114,634
Rust: Minimal surface rust (Hood latches, door hinges)
Things to be fixed: Exhaust Hanger, Clutch Switch, E-Brake Adjustment
Also included were 5 brand new winter tires w/ Jeep rims
Unfortunately I left my camera in my dad's Suburban, so I'll have to dig out my Handycam to get some pics later. For now here is a cellphone pic:

And now we actually have to make good on my original statement. Bring it on!

That is eerily similar to my Jeep. Congrats on finding one that appears to be fairly rust free and with half doors!
Now lets race!
(And post this on Proptopia, peoples' heads will explode).

Re: GBD's JP 29
I pulled up the carpets today as I was vacuuming it out. 0 Rust in the interior!!!
Got her insured. Tomorrow I pick up my temp tags and order the vanity plates, then oil change & fluid inspect on Tues. Will get the exhaust hanger fixed next week when this graduation chaos is over.

Congrats! Sounds like we are experiencing the same things right now.
What are you getting on your plate? I did "JP 12", and I think Boomer will eventually do "JP 18".
