So I must admit, I have been lurking on this site for quite a while and not posting. A couple months ago I was able to pick up a 94 standard Wrangler (not sahara) with the full intention of making it into a JP jeep! I have to say, when I started, some of it was in rough shape. Some pretty bad rust spots on the pan. The frame was in really good shape though. However, I got the car to really learn how to work on it myself and make it a good project so I was happy with that! Plus it was the right price haha.

The first thing the jeep needed was new shocks. They were really, really bad. I don't think the previous owner had done anything to this jeep in a long time! I made sure i had a couple cans of pb blast, a torch, and an angle grinder and i was good to go! I replaced all the bolts and nuts at the same time as some were in okay to rough shape. Ill be glad i did later! The rear shocks gave me the most trouble though, as the bolts were fused onto the shock sleeve. So it took the grinder and some persuasion from a hammer to finally get them off.

And of course even if the jeep looks bad on the outside (for now), it makes it all okay if your driving around with a good sound system. So next of the list was installing all these components. I got a decent head unit, some 200 watt 3 way speakers in the front, a 3 way speaker bar for the roof and an amp to run them all through. i ran 12 gauge wire throughout the whole car so i wouldn't loose any quality. this took me pretty much a whole day but was well worth it!

Here they are all installed! Sounds super clear and loud at highway speeds. I actually ran the speaker bar wires through the roll cage bars. I really didn't like the idea of them being exposed. Thought it would be ugly looking. Where I placed the amp I really thought it was the best place I could place it. I didn't want it under the back seat in case i took it out to load something in the trunk and it just wouldn't fit anywhere else. So now i have the dilemma of how to fasten it down, out of the rain and so i wont be stolen. I'm thinking of making a box around/over it. Any thoughts?
