Looks great!

Just a stepper bit but don't go too many steps! Then put some paint on that freshly bare metal.

Yep, the top of the hinge didn't end up red though painting since it was so small, and separate from the rest of the red parts. I plan on buying both paints in touch up quantities and then I'll be able to paint it myself

Took the windows off on the beautiful day we had today, but still left the top on. Can't wait until it warms up even more!

I think you will like leaving it just as you have. The shade is nice and it helps keep the interior cooler on those long days in the parking lot. It is nice to look up at the stars while in the passenger seat at night thought.

Yea I definitely like this configuration a lot. Whats also good is that I can easily take the top down in this set up as well since all of the windows are already gone. The only thing is removing the upper door surrounds, because it looks bad with the top down and those still on. But I can always throw em in the back.

Hi all, just wanted to share that I've taken the plunge and done the first step, acquiring a jeep for conversion! I did decide to go with a TJ simple due to the higher ease of availability, among other things. But they can still look great. Likely won't be able to get started with anything until the summer, but here it is in its beginnings.

2001 TJ Sahara, 131k. Got it with the green cloth interior to keep with the original as best as I could. 5 speed manual
Looks awesome! I decided not to repaint the entire body, but leave it in white since I wasn't going for "screen-accurate" version. I like the rims you decided to use; I took a step back and bought a set from the YJ model.
