I've been neglecting mine as well... although there really isn't much to do to it except put on the fog lights, light bar, whip antenna, and paint it.

I've had a cold all week.. which really didn't help. I have so much I want / need to do!

And next week I'll be on vacation which will suck for Jeep progress.

I did manage to find a Whip Antenna at Radio Shack. I went to the one that I thought had some of the items in stock. I went in and the Sales person immediately stopped me. I asked if they had any CB antenna stuff and got somewhat of a cold shoulder. He said they no longer had that stuff in stock... and I had to kinda pry and mention that it said they had something according to RadioShack.com. Then the sales men goes well all I've got is this whip antenna... and I'm like.. HELLO. That's what I need.

Radioshack used to be awesome.

Dude totally.

He was just mad you didn't want to get a new cell phone.

Awesome that you were able to find it locally, shipping on that probably wouldn't have been cheap. (or it would have come bent it half) :o

I had the same problem with my RS. Not only did they have everything in stock according to the website, then deny it in store, but when I had it Ship-to-Store from online they said, "Oh we have all of this in stock, you could have bought it here!" They're worthless...

Quit playing with your CNC router and get back to work on the jeep!

Got my rear output seal replaced and flushed the Transfer Case fluid.

Tomorrow I will try to do the transmission fluid, maybe flush the coolant system, and maybe get to the rear brakes and shocks.

Well. It has been a long time since I have posted an update. It has been very busy the last month or so, and I have not had the time (weather permitting) to work much on the Jeep. This week I am making some progress on some very important parts. For today, the following things have been replaced: Transfer Case Seal, Transfer Case Fluid, Transmission Fluid, Rear Brakes, Rear Bump Stops, Rear Shocks.

Its nice to get some work done. Hopefully this week I will be able to take care of the rear frame rust issue. If not there is still a few components that need to be done on the front suspension yet.

You may have recalled that I ordered and recieved a set of new fenders a month ago. The fenders were completely black primer and ready for paint, and I know that when I get the Jeep painted that they will probably not paint the inside of the fender. So I ordered up a spray can of Sand Biege Low Gloss Metallic from an online paint suppler. I prepped the fender with a little surface cleaner and then put on two and a half coats. Turns out there isn’t as much paint in those cans as you would think… but atleast one fender looks well coated on the inside.

I finally got my amber rear lights.

They are unfortunately not as amber I would have been led to believe. I will have to hit the lenses with some amber stained glass paint. (In addition to replacing the 50 Watt bulbs with 5 watt bulbs.)

I also got some Jurassic Park magnets from eBay. They are very nice and hopefully will last without getting stolen... should be good to switch out between half doors and full doors.
