Day 4-7 Catch up!
Sorry, hard to keep everything updated at the same time.

Day 4:
-Went to Summit Racing In Arlington, TX to get some much needed parts
(Winch U Channel, Chrome Tie bars, Clutch Decal, Correct Fairlead, A New license plate cover..due to the old one being rusty, and 2 other odds and ends.
-Officially Legal in the Great State of Texas with the JP 22 License Plate :D
- A Huge shout out and thank you to Adam for the Extra goodies (Mirror tag, Key FOB and INGEN ID badge... small touched really help keep the spirit alive.
-Started with the initial teardown of the winch... Needed some TLC.

Day 5:
-90% of my entire time was spent working on the Winch... trying to get correct hardware (which is 5/16-24) Nuts.. they're a specialty item in your local hardware stores, and they don't keep many on hand.. so stocking up may be beneficial if you feel like it.
-Found that the spool was stuck after it had over-wrapped itself... took some ingenuity, but managed to free the bind, and unspool by hand...(If you do this, highly recommend using gloves, cable is SHARP as a MF.
-After sanding, Priming and painting the Spool, Gear housing and Motor housing I finally go it all back together. Issue I ran into was the Bolts that connect the Winch to the Uchannel, stick out and on top of the front bumper...which left scratches in my paint...
(we'll come back to that later)
- Replaced the Worn and straight up broken driver side tail light...

Day 6:
-Mounted the Foglights I got from a member... Compeltely factory, no issues.. but I was unaware that due to a deflector shield inside.. that the top of the fog light was blocked from illumination... Its okay, its normal... Don't let pictures misguide you (like I did). Caused a bit of a ruckus in the group discussion, but we managed to forgive and move forward.
-So... Coming back to the Bolts scratching my paint... I decided to add Rubber mounts to the bottom of the UChannel, giving me stability, vibration dampening and clearance. While not screen accurate, it does have a solid appeal and look. I've gone ahead and added washers to either side of the Rubber mounts (thanks to Jurassic Vics Advise) which will help with using the winch, and keeping the torque and load in the right area, and preventing damage to the bolts.

Day 7:
-After testing the operation of the solenoids for the winch, I was having an issue with one of the bolts shorting and sparking. Summit Racing to the rescue... new solenoids... removed and replaced all the old hardware and parts with new ones... took a little bit of time, but accomplished the task, and checked the operation with some jumper cables. Works wonderfully!!
(Note: due to the change in Solenoid size... I did have to modify the housing unit a little.)
-As an Added bonus, my new trailer unit control port came in just in time for me to hook it up to the front... (that being said, I do have the Winch hard wired to a switch i'll be placing In the dash. )
-The Pelican case prop I've had... and it needed a lot of work.. It was previously a Military case, which was used and abused like most things... So, there was a lot of scraping, goo be gone and sanding to be done... followed by trying to find a really close paint color that would make the case look within 5% of its original color... not an easy task... but I found one i'm happy with.

-I've been working In the background on a Motorola Saber Radio for Dwight! It's not ready to be unveiled yet... but soon enough... and more than likely, i'll let him do it!

Enjoy the Pictures (Sorry they're not all in order..) , and I'll try to keep up to date with this as I can.
