Found this complete set of manual seats from a 1992. Pretty rare to find in decent condition.

If you’re wondering why I converted my seats from the original 1994 seats to some from 1992....it’s because the shape of the seats changed after 1992, and I’m going for screen accuracy. Just one of the minor headaches when using a “non-1992” for your base.

Just need to take the fabric off and do a good deep cleaning of the foam in order to get the old smell out.

Pelican case prop one step closer to completion. Just need to paint the flares a deeper red, and finish it off with the correct fire extinguisher.

For those building this prop, one thing to keep in mind is the difference between the new stock of flares and the old. The old versions used in the film had a long pull tab on the bottom of the flare cap. The new versions of the 15-minute flares do not have this. Luckily I found some NOS flares on eBay.

Another cool tidbit that I’ve noticed. In the film, when Alan Grant is holding the flare, the top portion of the cap is removed. Either the flares were sitting in the case with the top part removed, or there is a continuity error.

It’s only fitting that I snag a 1992 Owner’s Manual since I’m converting my 94 to a 92.

Just dropping a photo of the inventory spreadsheet so everyone can see just how much goes into doing an Explorer build. Cyrix9445 started the excel, so big thanks to him. I added a lot of the smaller things since I wanted a complete breakdown of what is involved in doing a build.

Someone just picked up a set of dee zee's from washington state. That is the 5th set of dee zee's I have seen within a ≈200 mile radius of portland in the past 2½ years https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/ ... 43707.html .
I'd like to get someone who has a wv-bl90a to measure and take some close up photos, I'm pretty sure I have an alternative.

After exactly one year of daily searches, on every platform there is, I finally got ahold of some screen accurate running boards. The sets that are in rough shape I got from a fellow Motor Pool member. The day they arrived, I came across a FB listing of a 91 Explorer that had the pristine pair of boards on them. After some sweet talking and tons of help from another Motor Pool member in Washington State, I was able to get them delivered.

I really enjoy hunting for hard to find parts, but I was starting to think I'd never find a pair of these things.

How did you end up with an odd number of them? And all of those confirms that my set had extra carriage bolts put in.

The first lot of them came with an extra board. What do you mean your set has extra carriage bolts?

The name for the specific type of bolt that goes along the top is "ribbed neck carriage bolt" . It looks like there are 5 holes on all of your boards. There are 7 on both of mine. I have suspected there were 2 extra on each side that weren't supposed to be there, as 1 went through a dee zee sticker.
