A Jurassic Park Jeep done right is way cooler than any stock Jeep (no matter how good the condition). I take my Jeep to classic car shows and the only photos people are taking are of the Jeep. If you are gonna do it, just make sure to do it right.

+1 on using vinyl if you have a plan on going back to stock look.
1992 Sahara with some jeep aftermarket parts such as a winch, lightbar and auxiliary lights.

as someone that converted their original paint sand beige in 2012 i think the vinyl is a good idea. Everyone has a JP jeep these days..so if you want to sell the YJ in the future who is your buyer if everyone already has one? originality pays. Car people get excited about original paint. Even when its aged.
