Turns out a 'campaign' to get your Jeep fixed has caused TellTale to respond publicly.

Boomer, can you confirm this is indeed what is happening?

Re: Boomerjinks' Jeep 18
Our official response.
Telltale’s CEO, Kevin Bruner has posted a response on Reddit, where he promises to pay Boomerjinks for the repairs out of his own pocket. He cites this as a misunderstanding and a third party insurance issue. Hopefully Boomerjinks will receive an amount that is able to cover the repairs to the Jeep, and to cover any other failed promises made by Telltale. While it seems like this is resolved, we would like to see Boomerjinks with reparation in hand before we dismiss this.
We would like to remind everyone that Telltale did not follow through with a lot of what was agreed upon with Boomerjinks. The transport was not covered, the insurance was signed off, Telltale employees took the Jeep for a Joyride, Boomerjinks missed work and had to pay for parts of the trip out of his own pocket. These are things that do not require working it out with insurance. These are things that were neglected by Telltale. While Kevin Bruner explains that he has been in constant contact with Boomerjinks, his prior posts on Reddit indicate that he had never heard from Boomerjinks regarding this issue. Boomerjinks explains that Telltale told him to go after the transport company himself, and that’s all they ever said. (The transport company had no liability after Telltale signed for the Jeep). They never indicated that there was a third party insurance company working on the claim. We believe there never was one, and that is why Kevin Bruner is now said to be paying out of his own pocket.

Hey, Boomer
First off, I think this is my first post. But I have followed your jeep for many years. It has made me want one for so long. Finally in the stages of getting parts.
I must say they have damaged a piece of history to more then just a few people. I have only been able to follow this as I get chance to.I can't believe they used this to try and get people to buy the game. I had been looking forward to seeing the game. I will have to say, now I don't want the game. I will stand behind you man. I am sorry for you and your JEEP. I know the heart and soul that goes in to build one of these.

Thanks for confirming Boomer.
To me it appears they finally had enough bad publicity to take action.
I'm sad it took this long for them to acknowledge it but glad for you its finally being taken care of.
Should never have come to this, but priority 1 is the Jeep.
