Okay so a little back story. Ive been looking at jeeps since last summer.I wanted a new winter vehicle/ fun vehicle and thought a jeep is both. I thought cool I could build a JP jeep it would be a fun project. Problems I have run into Jeeps are spendy even ones that are not running go for over a grand in my area. About 2 grand is all I wanted to spend. There was a guy in my area who wanted 2,500 and he eventually parted it out which was a 93 Sahara because he didnt have the title, 4x4 didnt work and the frame was pretty bad. I almost bought the seats etc. because I thought if I ever did do a build I thought I could buy any old jeep and build it just like the movie one. Well I pretty much gave up and started to look for a Geo Tracker because they are cheaper. The day I called and left like 3 messages for a Geo Tracker which the guy never called me back, I finally decided to look on Craigslist one last time. I found it my Jeep to start the build. Its not the prettiest and not a Sahara but the frame is in great shape which is what I really was worried about. Its a 1995 2.5 5 speed with 160,000 on it. It came with a brand new Meyers plow and it has a hard top and soft top. There was some things that needed to be fixed but it runs and drives good. It needed a new back window for the hard top, the drivers floor is rusted but he already had the replacement pan for it, the speedometer doesnt work, no radio and needed exhaust. For the 1300 which is what he wanted I couldnt sign the check fast enough, what a steal. It does have a little rust on the body mostly surface but not bad and both fenders are going to have to be replaced, but I figured I can have my Jeep totally done for under 2500. Im not going to make it movie accurate because its a 2.5. I figure I can fix the rust and paint it myself. Ive done allot of body work over the years have a body thats a body man. Ill leave the interior alone maybe some seat covers. Im thinking about a number 12, as I always liked Nedry haha NEWMAN lol. I found a set of kc highlights rear amber lenses already Im looking for a cheap light bar if anybody knows of one. Also fog lights steps etc. anything else you guys could help me with would be appreciated. Thank you for your time. Heres a picture of the Jeep

Not bad for $1300. I got my Sahara for $1200. I made a lightbar for $40 from an exhaust pipe. I'm building mine on basically a budget of zero, so I'm as cheap as they come.
