chumpmann's JP13

Post by chumpmann » March 1st, 2010, 9:30 am

Well I guess I should start a thread for my build. I have done a few things and getting ready to start some other stuff.

First, Here is the Jeep as I bought it....94 Stock, 93,000 miles 4.0 I6 Auto A/C

I have replaced the dash with the dark grey, dont hae a pic yet, will post when I remember to get one..

My first upgrade was to replace the 16 y.o stock suspension, I wanted just a 1.5" lift, but I had been waiting a month
for it from Superlift, and after calling them found out it would be almost another month.
The next best lift economic wise was the 2.5" Rough Country, cheaper than all 2" lifts out there.
Got it it this last week, and also put on 31x10.5 All terrains....
Got all this on in time for the Sand drags at the Canadian River out here.....
Did great for the lift and tires I had on it....

Up next,
I have obtained some half doors that have the pouches on them. The door panel is spice, but I can paint them.
I am also ordering my stock color paint to paint these Doors and my fender flares.

I did order a soft top, just has been too cold to get out and install it, which have the uppers for the half doors.

Along with my stock color I will also be ordering my Red paint and that will be in works very soon also.

Will post more pics as I progress....

Nice. Are you planning on painting the full hard doors also? I need to get me some of those mirrors for my doors, or maybe do a relocation mount.

Hey guys I need a couple of opinions....

I bought my half doors a couple of months ago. They were supposedly off a sahara.
I made sure that the interior had the pouches, and they did.
The thing I did not think to check is the color....These are the green pouches with spice trim....
Seems that these are opposite to what the JP Jeep has.
I had been planning to paint the interior the green, But know I am not sure how
it would look.
I have the spice carpet, and the dark dash, and was planning on going with the green carpet.
I have also found a set of the correct green sahara seats with the pouches.

So do you guys think I should go ahead and paint the interior of the doors green?
Or keep them spice with the green pouches?

Yes, Very good condition, especially for $75 and $50 shipping.

One does have some indentions and a very small puncture hole, looks like they had something setting on it.

But still well worth the price.

Now need a back seat, hopefully can find one that isnt faded too much....
