Some work on the control panel. The indented portions of the switches will have small LEDs in them to show when on. Everything on this will be functional, even if not as the label says.

Whole thing took about 3 hours, still have to work on the underside of the switches so they will get into the housings for the wires. So much to do, so little time, haha.

:o only three hours? wow. Very impressive work! Does your day job involve you working with CAD?

I make replica props for a living, and while I prefer to work with the production pieces for replicas and restoration, I often have to make reproductions from 3D work. I am not very good with CAD, but I am getting better each model for printing stuff at least.

Very cool man, Looked up your work! Very neat stuff. Your with the THG Props correct? About your dome mold. Can I take a crack at making it more smooth like in the movie? Here's my bubble roof for my model explorer used sketchup off course.
If you don't want to, I understand 8-) . Cant wait to see what you do next!

yup, I am THG :) That is a NICE clean dome! I'll get to the PM (been busy as hell with casting stuff and doing the explorer stuff in any free time I can get)

Here is the final bit of the control box. Switches finished, as well as the housing, and a secure way to have everything in place.

Thank you, this panel looks promising to work, though I don't understand the buttons beneath the buttons. Im sure once your make it and show the photos of the wiring it will make sense. Your on fire man, also your THGProps group makes some pretty neat stuff. I love Stargate!

The part on the underside of the buttons will hit the contact plate for power. I will also have a small bar running through (where the center hole in each button is) to secure it in place, as well as there being stoppers so the switches don't just keep spinning.

I hope that made sense ._.

Yes, That totally makes sense. Thats what i have on my functional panel model. I don't have all that but I do have the middle rod to keep the buttons in place. Very neat!
