Hi everyone! My name is Chris, I'm from Ontario Canada. I'm just beginning the transformation process for my 1987 Jeep YJ 4.2l carb engine. She has 187000Km or 116196 Miles, not too bad for an 87. I've always been a big fan of the JP franchise and always wanted a JP Jeep. I'm hoping in the next couple of months to rename my Jeep; JP16. Stay tuned for updates!

Thanks,

Paint is the next step for me but I have to get some body work done first.. Any pics of your JP?

I decided to go with plasti dip for my jeep. I figured it was cheaper and pretty durable. Also if I messed up, I could peel it all off haha! Turned out pretty good and I've been getting compliments left, right, and centre.

Maybe in a few years when I get the rest of the kit together, I'll redo the paint more professionally.

Looks great!! What I'm thinking of doing is painting it sand beige and the either plasti dip or vinyl wrap for the red. When my Jeep is done, we'll have to meet up one day!

Sure thing! Sand beige definitely. What I used for the red was actually Rustoleum Painter's Touch Apple Red. I clear coated the whole thing after. You should be able to find a proper automotive paint though. I felt the red plasti dip was not vibrant enough
