Just getting started....

- Needs a new hood, This one has been "fixed" but I already have one from Craigslist that I am strpping down this weekend.
- Tailgate is toast. Someone hit the spare tire and made a huge dent. Still looking for one.
- Few dents here and there but the body shop will pull them out.

Thats a good start. To bad for the seats being torn maybe we can find someone to re due them. My seats are faded pretty bad and have been thinking about tracking someone down to re due them.

Whats wrong with the hood?

Hood wasnt as bad as I thought. I took it in to the Body Shop on Monday and all dents will be taken out and make it look good before the base goes on.

Did anyone do a clear after all the paint was done?

From the factory there is no clear on the sand beige. Take into consideration the different types of clear that you can use, there is a rang from low to high gloss. The sand beige has a low gloss look so you could do a low gloss or maybe a medium over the whole jeep.

If you are painting the jeep.. get the right type of paint to begin with and you won't have to coat it with gloss/clear coat at all.

Just a quick update. Jeep was media blasted so all of the rust can be fixed and to start fresh. This Jeep had a terrible paint job where they just painted everything.

Nice, how much did that run you?

I had the exact same problem when I got mine. It had been maaco-ed and I had to replace every piece of exterior rubber as they had painted over all the seals.

Media blast cost 400 I believe. I wanted to have it down to the metal and see what needed to be fixed since these are so proned to rust. I also want this paint job to last. I couldve dont this project a lot cheaper but I would like to have one that looks accurate but also looks like a good 92 Sahara and will be around for a long time.
