Jeepasaurus' '89 YJ

Post by Jeepasaurus » February 5th, 2010, 3:17 pm

Here's my '89 Laredo. I've don'e a few things since these pics were taken. Hard top is currently off, had to repair my soft top (spice). Carb has been rebuilt, engine nuttered, engine cleaned, chrome grill overlay removed, roll bar pads removed, front brakes checked, seat taken out and cleaned, swapped driver & passenger seats, re-aligned air conditioner vents, carpet pulled.

Still to fix: Loosen frozen lug nut on driver's rear wheel, check rear brakes, fix exhaust leak, find/fix backup light switch, fix lock cylinders, straighten front bumper, find/make center console pad, get engine air intake hose, fix A/C, replace rear main seal, replace rear view mirror, replace all weather seals, re-install thermostat, replace dash speakers, replace engine hood light.

Things to get: Kargomaster rack, Jabsco lights, CB & antenna, round fog lights, sound bar, limb risers, cowl snorkel.

I'm quite envious of the fact you already have the right rims.

i think that cools pretty cool with the full doors and hardtop
the hardtop is a lot nicer to drive with than the soft top in my opinion

Wow, that turned out better than I thought it would.

And I agree that driving with the hardtop is a 1000x nicer. I pretty much have to wear headphones or earplugs when going over 55 with a softtop.

Im having to do 6+ hours of driving tomorrow again with a top whos snaps have broken off and rattle on top of all the other noise... eek

It looks GREAT, wish I had gotten the color on mine right... Still looks great but Im thinking to myself WTH.
I wish people would stop turning random cars into JP "jeeps". Come on, its a jeep for a reason.

I sold my hardtop and full doors already, It was good to put that money back into the Jeep....

Of course I am planning on mine running topless most of the time, and with my JK as my DD, I didnt see any point in keeping both sets of doors and tops, just to have
them take up room, and use them a couple of time a year.....
