Re: Matt's SoCal JP Jeep #18 Build
Alright so I know it has been a while since I updated but I've been steadily working on the Jeep and I am hoping to have it finished painted pretty soon. Here is a quick update!
Got the half doors fitted.
Installed LED's in the gauge clusters.
Took most of the body apart.
Polished the gauge cluster covers.
Pulled the motor.
Ordered a new 4.0L High Output sticker in red. (Not in the film)

Re: Matt's SoCal JP Jeep #18 Build
Got brand new OEM mirrors.
Primered them.
Painted the OEM Chrysler Flame Red.
Painted the valve cover.
Filled welds where the old Renegade holes were.
Then with a grinder made the holes flush and sanded.
Then laid down a little primer so I can fill little spots and even everything out.
Also go single piece JP door crests. They are not in layers like the 8 Bit Decals are.
Also got new Jeep decals for the sides.
So where I am at now is basically finished the prep for painting. Should be ready to paint within the next few days. Motor is off at the machine shop and when it it finished I will put it all back together. The Jeep will have fresh paint, a rebuilt motor and a brand new interior. Wish my luck everyone!

I'd like to know as well! I've only ever seen multi-layer and would much prefer (for cleaning purposes) single layer.ImperialTrooper wrote:Where did you get the single piece door crests?

All the support from you guys is still greatly appreciated lolratrace427 wrote:Good Luck =) I dont think you need it though.
I had them made locally. There is a shop that specializes in automotive stickers and I brought them the digital file of the high quality image I pulled from this forum, told them the dimensions and they printed it on a single piece instead of having it made in layers. They saved it on file for me too just in case I ever need them replaced.ImperialTrooper wrote:Where did you get the single piece door crests?
They are white. They do look a little blue in the pics. I think it is because the OEM bulbs look so orange lol. When the gauges are installed again after paint I will take some better quality pics on a real camera and not my phone.yj87jp wrote:That's amazing cant wait to see it finished, and are those blue or white led in the gauges
Yeah it is like I just wrote to ImperialTrooper I had them made. I can talk to the local shop for a group buy if you guys are interested.delta347 wrote:I'd like to know as well! A lot of people here might be interested in a group buy. Post up a feeler thread to gauge interest. Maybe even setup a direct buy option from the guy if hes willing to ship directly that way you wont need to do any work.
