In the making

Post by ratrace427 » April 12th, 2012, 8:05 pm

I picked this jeep up two days ago and I was excited to start the cleaning process today. It took me several hours. The top is shot and from the amount of dirt found inside im guesing for quit some time. Here are some pics of before i started and after. I took most of the carpet out to scrub and blast with water.

Very nice, nice score on the sliding windows, those are expensive and rare!

Really? I kinda like them but i was under the assumption they were aftermarket. I already ordered a new top and door skins. I am also under the assumption that they will fit in my new skins. Is this is correct?

Yes, those are aftermarket. New, the sliding windows alone costs like $450ish I think. I'm not sure if you can separate the sliding windows from the frame it's attached to. You may need to order door frames to use with your new door skins.

AWESOME !!! Another Tulsa JP Jeep... What number are you going with...? The following are taken (not like you can't repeat them): 10 (TUL), 23(TUL), 21(TUL), 18 (OKC)...

Love your Jeep with correct paint and interiors.... and I'm envious of the sliding window.... When I take my Jeep to work, I have to unzip the window to be able to badge in the gate... Would love to be able to just slide the window.... LOL

By the way, we talked at 80s Prom. I'm also the owner of the Delorean and Ecto-1.... Great to have you join us ! Raul

I have wanted to do #18 for years. I already have the tag for the front bumper.

I Think the sliding windows are awesome that way you still have a lot of the real look to them and are half way between the zip and full doors. I myself due to my neighborhood would have to go with full doors and a tan hard top but Not as much road noise haha.
