I am restoring some Ramsey winches at the moment which are in far worse condition as yours. Some still work. If you have any questions about the winch let me know.

And for your engine. Would be great to see a picture of the V6 in the Wrangler. When was the swap?

I got the 6 in line 4.0. H.O. stock engine

Got the lightbar today. Will have it pitched forward a bit, did not take the top into consideration. There's BARELY any clearance currently.

@ Ratrace: not sure, haven't gotten it yet. Was mailed out today, should have it in a week or so.

@ xennocide: I've read you can order them by calling Ramsey and being directed to a sales center. Haven't done that yet, I'll post the number if I manage to get it.

@ mr_cox: As far as the engine it's still the stock 4.0 6 cylinder. I'll post some questions about the winch later when I actually get it. All I have to go on in it's shape are those 2 pictures and that "it doesn't work"

Anyone know what that rubber looking seal is around the edge of the jeep is called or where I could get one.

My door tops just bolt on and there's nothing between the top and bottom halves. And the hardtop just sits down on the metal, there is no seal/buffer like this.

Watching the movie I know think that's part of the snapping system for the soft tops, anyone know if I am correct?

Oh the half doors its an aluminum piece called a door channel and the bottom lip of the upper door skin slides into it. The rest of that line going around the tub is part of the soft top frame.
*edit also my hard top had a thin foam liner that runs around the lip. You can probably make something up as a replacement.

Not sure what I could use to emulate that look on the back though.

Just was asking about the engine as you call it a V6 in your opening post. As the engine is an inline I was wondering if this was a mistake or it had a swap :D

You need the softtop hardware kit. Bestop produces an almost screen accurate kit:

Ya it's the stock engine, not a huge car buff I just knew it was a 4.0 6 cylinder so I called it a V6.

I may end up not having that mount kit, don't think it would fit with the hard top and it would be a pain to take the hard top off then install that liner everytime I wanted to swap.

So the guy that painted my jeep had to leave town for a few weeks on some family stuff. When he gets back I'll have those black bolts painted red, the doorhandles and key holes painted black, the headlight bezels painted body color and the top of the doors painted (They were never separated when painted.) Then I will be done with the paint.

But because the black headlight bezels bother me the most I repainted my old ones as a temp fix. Sanded them down then painted them with a rattle can. (Same color, turned out pretty close) Nice $20 fix, and I plan on rattle canning a Jeep Powerwheel into a Jurassic Park jeep for my daughter down the road anyway.

Going to get some BF Goodrich's put on today.

Mmmm those BFGoodrich's are sharp. Combination of the deep treads, white lettering and the red wheels really make them stand out.
