This is perfect timing for you. There is a spice top for $200 on scratchndentparts.com I didnt buy it because it doesnt have the door skins. Here is the thing, i bought a new one so i would get new door skins. I was thinking that the sliding windows that i have would fit in the new skins. They wont, and i think the skins i have with the sliding windows match the new top, so i do not need the door skins. I think they match, i didnt get the door skins back on yet. I was waiting to get the buffing done. But if they match then i could sell you the new door skins to go with that top and we both do good.

Its a weird brand though so maybe some research is due. If i had it to do over i would buy this one i think and use my old door skins. I ended up buying a bestop from discountjeepparts.com. $500 after shipping and new extenders. They have the best price on the the top stuff, I looked around a long time. Buy from them if you choose not to go with the scratchndentparts.com one.

As for Saturday i work so i will not attend. That would be cool though, Dang!

Today i buffed some and put part of the top on. I also located some wheels in KS. Im going on Thursday to pick them up. Its looking great but im not sure about the fender skirts. The paint has faded more on the plastic. I need to get a new buffing wheel tomorrow. This one is full of silver from my other car and its making a mess on the jeep. I also need some heftier compound. The pin stripes are proving difficult unless i use sandpaper. The sandpaper is a bad idea as earlier discussed. Looks like it will be friday before the buffing is complete. I will wait till then to post the after pics. I love it! It is really starting to look SEXY. Its amazing how much beauty was hiding.

This is what it looks like now. The bad news is that the heater core is leaking. I thought i would try the cheap way out even though it has never worked for me in the past. I tried using silver seal. I will see what happens but maybe the heater core will be easy to change.

You really cant see the pin strips anymore unless you look at it straight on. The lighting has everything to do with with noticing. Once i add the red strips and the decals i think there will be to many distractions to notice the imperfections it has. I have also thought of repainting the fenders. The paint hasnt help up well on the plastic but if i do that then they might stick out like a sore thumb. I have a problem with knowing when to stop. I am trying to work on that.

I ordered the 8bit decals on ebay today. The local decal shop is a little to expensive so i will have them make a new hood decal if i am not happy with the size of the 8bit one. This way i know the paint shops paint will be the right red. He has already matched to the 8bit ones. Depending on the quickness of the shipment i should have it done in no more than three weeks. EXCITEMENT IS BUILDING :D

I got the light bar installed today. Dang those bolts were tight on the windshield. I also sanded on a couple of the wheels prepping them for paint. I have determined that i will let the old man take them to work for a walnut blasting. I have also decided to change paint guys. This is going to slow down the completion time but this guy has painted several of my projects and i know his work. He is really backed up, so it looks like mid summer before completion now.

And here are some pics
